The 2018 Maple syrup season is underway and we are boiling as you read this. Look for more updates on our Facebook page and stop out on March 17th and 18th for the 14th Annual Maple Tour and Taste. More info on the tour @

Update: 2017

From the first thaw we have boiled 10 times and made 150 gallons of syrup.
We burned several cord of slab wood to make the syrup from raw sap at 2% sugar content to 66.9% sugar content (syrup).

The 600 plus taps produced almost a quart of pure maple syrup per tap with a little help!

Our sugarhouse hosted the Maple syrup boiling seminar in early November 2015. It was in conjunction with the Lake Erie Maple Expo held in Albion PA. We had 15 maple syrup producers attend and were instructed by Bruce Gillian from Leader Evaporator of Swanton Vermont. For information on next year's LEME check out our Northwest PA maple web site.
Just a note on the LEME annual event. We had approximately 500 maple folks attend seminars and demonstrations related to making maple syrup.

Six cord of slab firewood is cut and stacked in the wood shed for the 2016 boiling season. We are looking forward to having folks visit during the maple production season which typically runs from mid February to early April.

Just a reminder that our maple syrup grading system has been updated. Still the same great maple syrup, with additional information to better describe the color and flavor changes in pure natural maple syrup as the grades change during the season.

Here are the new grading system categories:

Golden Delicate
Amber Rich
Dark Robust
Very Dark Strong

Mark your calendars for the annual Maple Taste and Tour in the Northwest PA area. Mid March 2017.

There will be new sugarhouses on the tour this year and we expect to have more than a dozen places where you can visit and learn about the different processes in which maple syrup is made. Most sugarhouses will have maple syrup and products for sale, and free samples that you and the kids will love!

We have product available year round for our customers. Give us a call or check our updates products page. Our maple syrup and honey make great gift ideas which we can ship to your friends and families too.
